Our Story

Eonon, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Hong Kong. Focused on the Eonon brand, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive audiovisual experiences to vehicle owners worldwide. To enhance customer service, we have established warehouses in key locations, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, and Malaysia, ensuring swift and convenient delivery services.

For our founder, Jimmy, cars represent more than just transportation—they serve as a bridge connecting him to the world. In 1999, he purchased a Corolla. From that moment on, it witnessed his growth and adventures, becoming an indispensable companion in his life.

In the second year after Jimmy purchased his car, he decided to upgrade his companion with a more advanced in-car audio system. However, the choices available in the market left him perplexed: high-priced products seemed daunting, while low-priced ones lacked quality and service assurance. After much contemplation and exploration, he resolved to create a brand-new option, one that would make high-quality car audio accessible to everyone.

Through in-depth analysis of market demand and technological research and development, Jimmy founded Eonon, with a mission to provide consumers with affordable, reliable products, and outstanding service. We are committed to bringing more joy and convenience to every vehicle owner, enriching and enhancing their driving experience.

About us

The origin of the name Eonon

The story behind the name Eonon is quite interesting. The "E" stands for "electronic," while "on on" is derived from a giant panda named "安安" (pronounced as "on on" in Cantonese). 安安 arrived at the Hong Kong Ocean Park in 1999, marking the first appearance of a giant panda in Hong Kong. He lived for 35 years, equivalent to 105 human years, making him the oldest captive male giant panda in the world.

The success of a business is not solely reflected in the accumulation of wealth and market position, but more importantly in its contributions to society and the responsibilities it undertakes. We have always believed in this philosophy and actively participated in activities to give back to society.

In May 2007

In May 2007, we funded the establishment of the Eonon Kaiwang Hope Primary School.

In May 2008

In May 2008, we donated 26,287 USD to the people affected by the Wenchuan earthquake.

2008 ~ 2012

From September 2008 to 2012, we established scholarships at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, donating 34,589 USD annually for four consecutive years to support 400 economically disadvantaged students.

2009 ~ 2011

From 2009 to 2011, we established scholarships at South China University of Technology Guangzhou College, donating 103,767 USD for three consecutive years.

In December 2010

In December 2010, we sponsored the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association to organize performance events for the elderly residents of nursing homes. Respecting the elderly and caring for the young is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation.

In December 2010

In December 2010, we donated 13,835 USD to the Ka Ling School Of The Precious Blood, providing Christmas gifts to students and fully sponsoring them to participate in study tours in Guangzhou.

In February 2012

In February 2012, on the occasion of Eonon's tenth anniversary, we each donated 138,356 USD to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and South China University of Technology Guangzhou College.

2016 ~ 2017

From 2016 to 2017, we established scholarships at South China University of Technology Guangzhou College, donating 34,589 USD.

In March 2020

In March 2020, amid the worsening global COVID-19 pandemic and the scarcity of medical protective resources, we donated a batch of masks to Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center and Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in California, USA, as well as to Caritas International in Italy, which were distributed to local hospitals and other needy individuals.

In May 2021

In May 2021, we sponsored the 10th Guangdong Province University Student Career Planning and Career Teaching Competition.

In January 2022

In January 2022, we established scholarships at Southern Medical University School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, donating 41,506 USD.

In April 2022

In April 2022, we sponsored the 13th Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Festival held by Southern Medical University.

In September 2023

In September 2023, amidst the severe challenges of global climate change, Eonon provided research funding to the Carbon Tariff Project Team of the School of Economics at Guangzhou City Polytechnic, conducting in-depth research on the core issues in the fields of global climate change and carbon tariffs.

Sustainability

Amid the severe challenges of global climate change, in September 2023, Eonon joined hands with the Carbon Tax Project Team of the School of Economics at Guangzhou City Polytechnic University (hereinafter referred to as the "Carbon Tax Project Team"), upholding the belief in green and sustainable development, to conduct in-depth research on the core issues of global climate change and carbon taxation. In this process, Eonon provided solid financial support to the Carbon Tax Project Team and continuously encouraged the team. After nearly two years of unremitting research, the Carbon Tax Project Team has achieved a series of significant results.

The Carbon Tax Project Team emphasizes the cultivation of students' teamwork and problem-solving abilities. They guide students to focus on global climate change issues, participate in carbon tax-related competitions, and delve into researching and discussing solutions. With Eonon's sponsorship, students have participated in well-known academic and technological competitions both domestically and internationally, competing and exchanging ideas with outstanding talents from around the world, and jointly exploring strategies to address climate change. Over the past two years, the Carbon Tax Project Team has trained 33 students to obtain certificates in carbon trading and carbon finance. They have led students to participate in academic and technological competitions more than 780 times, achieving excellent results in multiple domestic and international renowned competitions. The team has led students to win 4 provincial awards in the China International Internet+ Competition, among which the "Innovative Development Model of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Projects under the Carbon Neutrality Background" won the Silver Award in the 7th China International Internet+ University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Guangdong Provincial Competition.
